Nationwide U.S. Septic Network Mon–Sun · 7am–9pm Free Matching Service Email Us

Septic Compass is a free service that connects homeowners with licensed local septic companies. We are not a contractor and do not perform septic work.

The short answer

You should not. Pumping needs a vacuum truck, and the tank gives off toxic gases and can collapse, so opening or entering one is dangerous. The waste is also regulated and must be disposed of at a licensed facility. Leave pumping to a licensed septic company.
